The collection of short stories includes five stories is set in imaginary worlds and explores human follies and societal concerns through the characters' experiences in fantastical situations. Summaries of the five stories are given below: Haszie's Christmas GiftHaszie's Christmas Gift is a fiction that is based on an imaginary world, or planet, that is quite unlike Earth. Here, the protagonist, Haszie, like everyone else on her planet, receives a christmas gift and this time, she receives one that she has coveted for a long time. However, she will find out that this gift is not quite like any other gift since Haszie's actions have the power to induce a change in the gift.EmasEmas comes from a world very different from the planet, Earth which comes alive in her imagination when her teacher narrates stories of his adventures on Earth. She becomes fascinated with Earth and soon, she is consumed by a desire to visit it and discover the diversity found on Earth. She steals away and visits Earth; however, things are not as rosy as she thought it would be.AmbryThe protagonist builds a human-like robot that would be able to think but he is beset by doubts on whether to give it life. He is reminded by the dire warnings of the possible adverse consequences to humankind if artificial intelligence, or AI, were to become a reality. Most of all, he is pestered by his friend's goading inquiry into why he wants to make the AI a reality.The Pumpkin and The RuinsThis is a story of a child who learns through a fantastical experience, that includes an encounter with a larger-than-life giraffe, not to be defined by others but to find her true identify and in doing so, find contentment in being who she is.LightThis story is about Light which brightens up lives of the Dwellers in the land. However, when Light finds that, with the advent of electricity, it is taken for granted, it disappears leaving the land of the Dwellers in darkness
