Harry Harding of the Light Infantry: Promotions Romances Revenge BOOK TWO

By Brian P Bates

The fighting at Corunna is over, but Harry's battle is just beginning. Convinced his friend Jed is lost to the war, Harry must learn to live without him. But Jed is not dead. Saved by an honorable French officer and rescued by the crippled Major Arthur Napier, he returns to the ranks a changed man. With Harry's help, he forges a new sense of purpose and earns a promotion, while Harry himself is elevated to Major, thanks to a rich friend.
As their paths diverge and converge, both men are swept up in the tides of war. Harry's skill and courage catch the eye of General Wellington, leading to promotions and perilous missions. Jed discovers love in a surprising setting, while Harry thinks he has found love again, endures a heartbreaking loss, and finds a son. He even manages to settle a score with the demonic uncle who has haunted his past. But just as they believe the war is behind them, news arrives that will change everything: Napoleon has escaped.
