Peace Force (Harriet Walsh)

By Simon Haynes

Welcome to the Dismolle Peace Force, the most dysfunctional crime-fighting outfit in the galaxy.

Their budget is stretched so thin the station commander is running a lottery scam to cover costs.

They hire trainees by printing job ads on the back of old fast food flyers.

Their armoury consists of one training pistol and several hundred boxes of old records.

When Harriet Walsh signs on, she doesn't expect to be given her first case with no training, no equipment and absolutely no idea about police work.

Joined by a teenage pickpocket and an opinionated AI patrol car with a passion for the beach, Harriet has to figure out how to run an investigation before the whole operation collapses.
