Harassed by a Poltergeist

A poltergeist is a ghost or other supernatural being responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects thrown around. It is a noisy spirit. The activity seems to centre around an individual. The poltergeist phenomenon is one of the most widely misunderstood paranormal concepts. As a result, people often mistake ghost phenomenon for poltergeist activity, and vice versa. However, apparitions are not a part of the poltergeist phenomenon. Witnesses see the activity it causes, but no one has ever actually seen a poltergeist with their own eyes. There is a big difference between poltergeist activity and ghost or haunting activity. A poltergeist is perhaps the best-known and most feared type of ghost. Being a spirit who haunts people and not houses, it harasses and torments it's victims.
