Alberta's true story will make you laugh, smile and even shed a tear or two. Second born and oldest daughter of four boys and five girls. She was imaginative as a child and consistently trying to overcome the burden of becoming the additional caretaker to her younger siblings. Her mother was a devout Pentecostal minister and her father was more of a free-spirit much like herself. Alberta grew closer to her father as she grew older in age. He understood her passions and always had her back as you will discover the evening he puts a knife to the throat of her disgruntled suitor. Alberta embraced an eccentric spirit and loved every minute of her life up to and possibly even amid her affair with Alzheimer's. Her childhood begins in the Great Depression, the peculiar amusements that develop throughout her life, two marriages and up to the final curtain. Each person has his own psyche and true nature although many of our challenges are all too familiar. I am always drawn to stories that resonate with me personally. You won't want to stop reading her story and will adore the positive energy of Alberta and her whimsical life.
