The author relates her family's experiences moving from the city to the country and trying to restore a neglected eighteenth-century farm in Pennsylvania. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book came to me just as I have been pondering moving to pennsylvania. This book allowed me to view how rustic her home and life is on the farm. It also appeared to be a guide of the do's and dont's of farm life. The chapter regarding basket weaving was one of my favorites, because I heard the rain and felt the twigs in my hand and fely\t as if I was on the porch wihtMs. Lennon. Her diary style writing even made it seem possible to live with no indoor plumbing.I will read this book again and again and hope there will be more from this author.
