description of physics in this century

Prof. Casimir describes the life and personnage of many very important theoretical physicists, mostly through his personal experiences. He describes the physical society in the realization of modern quantum physics. Then, Prof. Casimir described more applied subjects from this physics and about his work at the outstanding Philips Pysics laboratories. The book is easy readible, even for non-physicists, and gives a good idea of the life of truely devoted physicists and the changes in society.
