Most Widely Utilized Classroom Text Series for Teaching Chinese to Foreigners

FIRST SEMESTER LISTENING TEXT- Hanyu Jiaocheng (Chinese language course of study) is the grammar (yufa) component of a multi-dimensional, integrated course of study, which also includes speaking (koyu), reading (yuedu), and listening (tingli) components. These books make up the core of studies for foreign students studying in the "Chinese Language and Culture" programs at any of the international colleges in China. I used them for two years at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. Audiocassettes are available for use with the dialogues and exercises of each level's grammar, speaking, and listening components throughout this most popular classroom series. Anyone planning to study abroad in China should familiarize themselves with these lessons first. Although each text would be used for one academic year of study in the west, the material is covered in one semester by the international university programs in China; so it's essential to prepare.
