Hands-on Math

I wanted this particular book because another teacher in my school had it. It has great math activities which reinforce student's learning. The activities are easy to teach and use supplies that are readily available.

It is what the title says: hands-on

There are no colorful tear-out pages in this book. This is not a book for students; it's a book for teachers. Each page has one or two activities written out like a recipe with supplies needed and procedures. My kids really seem to learn well with these projects, but when I bring out their more expensive colorful workbooks they act miserable. Highly recommended by me, a home-school mom.

Hands-On Math 2-3

I used Hands-On Math extensively in first grade for 9 years. I have also found it useful as review in third grade. It is easy to use and the activites don't require a lot of preparation. I highly recommend it.

Keep the kids engaged and learning!

This book has many fabulous activities to make math fun and interesting for your classroom. I've been searching for books that allow me to incorporate manipulatives into my classroom. This one is the best I've found!
