Add some spark to Sunday or Wednesday nights

Hands & Hearts describes activities that churches can organize throughout the year that include kids as well as parents, grandparents, and other adults. They range from simple worksheets that can be copied to more elaborate activities, such as a Magi drama and a beautiful felt banner. I have participated in the banner activity--it's amazing that something so beautiful & complex can be created just by each family doing a small part. Johansson explains each activity thoroughly, so leaders can plan ahead and have all the supplies. She even describes what should be written in the church bulletin and when. A lively book, perfect for a creative--or at least willing!--congregation.
