Handbook for Directors of Nursing in Long-Term Care

My book arrived in a timely fashion and was in good condition. I have started to utilize some of the concepts in my Nursing Department.

A Bible for the new SNF DON.

I was introduced to long-term nursing rather abruptly and my predecessor had informed me, "Oh, there is nothing to the job. The place runs itself." As a new Director of Nursing, nothing could have been further from the truth. This very theory-oriented text has been my guide for the last year answering questions such as "If I am so busy what are the other department supervisors doing?" This book is well organized and easy to comprehend. It is concise yet thorough. I would recommend it to anyone who is about to venture into a Skilled Nursing Facililty career or contemplating such a move.
