I met a Chinese girl in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She knocked on my door. (We were staying in two adjacent Airbnb rooms, elevated. Almost like a treehouse.) She wanted to borrow a laptop so she could acquire a visa for traveling to India. We ended up spending about a week together. I was smitten with her. After she left for India, I wrote each morning, bright and early, while drinking a bottle of beer from the previous night.
