Nice for beginners...

"Hamster" covers the important elements that beginner hamster owners will want to look into. The easy-to-understand basic hamster care and health care will give hamster owners an idea of how to take good care of their little pals. The chapters on hamsters' species and colours and hamster shows are a PLUS! The pictures in this book are clear and beautiful. There are photographs of various hamster species and colours. I believe Lorraine Hill also has a website featuring hamsters.

The best hamster book in print!

I have had hamsters for many years and have read and enjoyed many different books on these delightful little creatures. However, I have had the privilege of receiving a review copy of Lorraine Hill's new PET OWNER'S GUIDE TO THE HAMSTER, and I can happily say that it stands head and shoulders above the rest. The photography is marvelous, the content complete and, from cover to cover, the book is totally enjoyable to read. This guide should be on every hamster owner's book shelf!

An excellent book

I have just recieved a preview edition of this book. (August'98) It is probably one of the, if not the best hamster book on the market at the present, covering all the species that are currently available to the general public. The photographs are excellent and are also taken by the author. A must for all Hamster owners.
