Amen is a 2013 Malayalam- language musical romantic satire movie with musical satire written by P. S. Rafeeque and directed by Lijo Jose Pallissery. Amen also appeals for the characters that Lijo has created, as well as the resilience and optimism with which the principal actors bring alive the characters on screen. The admiration for Fahad Faasil has scaled attitude to affirm that the supremely talented actors deliver another performance here that is at par with his previous accomplishments. In the movie Amen, the plot revolves around the lives of a few people of Kumaramkari church around an ancient Syrian church in a Kuttanadan village called Kumaramkari. Movie shares some 'toilet humor' and 'fart wits', which surprisingly gal well and add to the originality of narratives. The movie depicts both Magical Realism and Hallucinatory Realism. Magical realism centered on protagonist Fahad Faasil while Hallucinatory Realism in the movie centered on People around Kumaramkari church. Amen starts off on the shitty note, and real smelly one at that. A stinking gift that looks alluring in a golden wrapper is busy doing the rounds at Kumaramkari. It gets passed around until its flung right on.
