Fantastic Book for Women Who Love Life!!

Bernadette Moyer touches women's spirits and hearts as she reflects on those moments which have shaped her as a person. Personal, honest, and nonjudgmental, Ms. Moyer writes as though she is speaking directly to the reader. Women will recognize themselves over and over as they read through the stories and influences in Ms. Moyer's life which have molded and formed her through the years. I came away a richer person for reading "Halfway Home: The First Fifty Years." Don't miss it!!

Awesome! Snapshots of a life written with candor and honesty make this book a favorite. I admire the author's strength and courage to write her own story. Through sharing her joys, challenges and disappointments, Bernadette Moyer inspires you to start on your own personal journey of self-reflection and discovery. She actually gives you the space to write! For those not yet ready to start journaling, she plants the seed.... This is a book to come back to time and again. I especially loved her talk on self care and taking "me" time. This very insightful book makes a great gift to yourself and would be wonderful to share with friends and family!

Bernadette wears her heart on the sleeves of these pages and holds nothing back. The admirable part of this book is that she doesn't make it all about herself, instead she invites readers to reflect on the topics included, thus making it an interactive reading/journaling experience.

Perfect for a gift for someone turning 50

What first caught my eye about this book was the "50" thing, a couple of years ago, one of my dear friends turned 50, and I wanted to get her a book. I ordered 2 books and they were so uninspiring that I never gave them to her, and ended up giving them to a charity. THIS BOOK is the book I should have gotten her then. It is full of short stories and after each story is a page left for you to write your personal story. The author's stories have triggered many of my own memories. I plan on using the book to write down those memories and then sharing them with my teen daughter. It is a great gift book as well!

Thumbs Way Up!

I enjoyed "Halfway Home" on so many levels, but mostly for the "gift" that it gave me as a reader. If a collection of short stories can bring you a sense of peace and gratitude along with the perfect amount of humor sprinkled in, this book does it! You can tell right away that these are stories from the heart and for the heart. You can open up to any story, on any page, and get a slice of inspiration. Also great are the thought provoking journal questions to get you thinking about your own life stories. I love the conversational way these stories are told, kind of like you're sitting and listening to a good friend and you just don't want the story to end.
