Eddie (Josh Brolin) is a Hollywood fixer. His job, or shall we say the mission, is to correct the indiscretions of well-publicized film stars.
At first, the film takes on the feel of an epic. Soon, we realize that it is more than the tale of Eddie and “There but for fortune goes you or I.”
There are many great actors who are at their best in this presentation. I should not be distracted from the characters, but I find it fascinating to guess where I saw them before. Tilda Swinton gets to play twins.
However, it is George Clooney as the valued actor Baird Whitlock who holds the presentation altogether. You might remember him as Matt Stevens in “Return of the Killer Tomatoes!” (1988.)
This film may need repeated viewing to pick up all the subplots.
