This is a series of 173 haiku and 21 other poems, written by poet Carol Mays, to celebrate and reflect upon the four seasons. Most of the poems were written over the course of a year, as she turned her attention to natural phenomena occurring in New England. She used the traditional 17 syllable format. Nature lovers will appreciate the frequent beautiful imagery and in some cases, unusual references and allusions. The book is infused with a touch of magic and affection.
