Habakkuk: A prophetic word for our time

Book Overview

Habakkuk one of the minor prophets of the Old Testament speaks to our culture today. Just as Habakkuk was ministering in a culture that had departed from the Law of God and we live and minister in a culture that has departed from God. The Word that the Lord brought to Habakkuk is one that speaks to our hearts and mission today.

Habakkuk wrestled with a twofold problem. The first was the unrighteous nature of Judah at the time. We see this complaint about them in the opening verses of Habakkuk. The second was the nature of how God dealt with the unrighteousness of Judah. God was going to use a nation more wicked than Judah to bring judgement upon His people. Habakkuk wrestled with these two issues as he writes.
