The Forensic Files subset examines the forensic sciences behind the most fascinating solved and unsolved cases, from autopsies to facial reconstruction, and more. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book provides engaging and well-told examples of how DNA evidence has been used to solve real crimes. Its explanation of the scientific concepts is clear and well-written. However, I'd caution that this is definitely not a book for young children. Two of the cases discussed involve violent crimes, and though the science is solid and the writing tactful, murder is murder and it's a bit scary. Before putting it out on the floor of our museum as part of an exhibit on DNA, I put a warning label on the front.
