Excellent Review of Mathematical Modeling Techniques

I have personally found this book to be extremely helpful in understanding mathematical modeling as well as statistical models in general. The book helps define what mathematical modeling is exactly, a framework to go about developing your own models and provides ample example cases so that you truly "get" what they are trying to teach you.
