Fascinate your children with tales of carnivorous plants.

This 95-page booklet contains many color pictures and very good descriptions of carnivorous plants across the world, and there are references to more books of this type. Your children, if not you, would be fascinated to have this unique description of plants that eat instead of being eaten. Of course, all kids go through that stage and get their parents to buy them a Venus flytrap, but little did they know of plants with larger appetites. Abbreviated table of contents: Plant history How to choose carnivorous plants that will thrive for you Venus flytrap Pitcher plants Albany pitcher plant Sun pitchers Sundews Hanging picture plants Butterworts Bladderworts Cobra Lily Rainbow Plants Summer growth and winter dormancy Pete gardens and Terraria If you find that you are interested, terraria, be sure to read the book "Green Cargoes" by Anne Dorrance, as she gives the source and purpose of Wardian cases.
