Around the world, guerrilla warfare is gaining strength as a form of liberation struggle. Guerrilla-style armed revolutionary struggles have erupted in nearly 50 countries since World War II. Many countries have achieved heroism by waging guerrilla warfare to break the oppression of the colonial and imperialist powers. Countries such as China, Vietnam, Cuba, Algeria, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, Zimbabwe and Nicaragua have been successful in pursuing guerrilla warfare. In many other countries, guerrilla war-torn liberation struggles are on the verge of victory. Guerrilla warfare is a masterpiece of revolutionary armed struggle tactics. The most powerful weapon waged by the weakest people against a strongest repressive system. War tactic that will destabilize any tremendous military machine. Although this guerrilla warfare is popular among the oppressed people worldwide, it is our liberation movement that has introduced and carried out this guerrilla warfare in the Tamil Eelam political arena with its sophisticated tactics.
