An insightful look into the life of William Holden and his family

I was very excited to learn about this book, as there is not much out there written about one of my fave stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood, William Holden. This book is a memoir written by his stepdaughter, Virginia Holden Gaines. Holden adopted her when he married her mother, Ardis (also known as Brenda Marshall). This book is a very interesting and quick read. Most of the stories are about her growing up years. There is some interesting background info about Holden's family and his younger years, as well as her mother and biological father. If you are a fan of William Holden, I urge you to get this book. You won't be sorry!
