In 1985, a young teenage girl was left at the mercy of her relatives when she became homeless and having to survive as a help to keep a roof over her head. It began when her mother finds herself in a situation where she had to choose between her children and her marriage. Having had a difficult childhood herself, she decided that her eldest daughters were better able to survive, but at what cost, when she feared the outcome having had similar experiences. In the end, the only tool she could give was an education.
