Growing up in a small Texas town

The year is 1975 and the small town of Mexia, Texas is bustling with life. The town is filled with people of all ages, from young children to elderly adults. Everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of community. The main street of Mexia is lined with shops and restaurants, where people can buy anything from groceries to clothes. There are also plenty of places to hang out, such as the local movie theater or riding the drag. Every Saturday night, the town square comes alive with music and dancing. People gather around to listen to live bands playing country music and rock n' roll. It's a great way for people to socialize and have fun together. Life in Mexia isn't always easy though. The economy isn't doing well and jobs are hard to come by. Many people struggle to make ends meet, but they still manage to find joy in their lives through family, friends, and community.
