A Pure Delight

I received the book as a gift. "Oh great! Another cute story about the cowboy culture", I thought. But I felt I'd better read it lest I hurt the feelings of the giver.What a pleasant surprise. It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable reads I've had in a long time.Ralph Reynolds can tell a wonderful tale. The only issue I'd take is with the title. It might have been more appropriately titled, "Growing Up Human". His stories were so human and touching that the "cowboy" could have been anywhere anytime. It just happened he was "the Luna Kid".Pure pleasure. (I would have given it five stars, but I'm reserving that score for Hemingway.)
