Leading them proves more difficult than Reine expects, and she even ends up in trouble on many occasions. While she discovers her strengths and weaknesses, Reine will also discover love and the emotions that she had been missing out on. Reine discovers some things about her past and her mother, who died shortly after her birth. While she tries to connect with her damaged father, who barely had anything to do with her until this moment in her life when everything changed. Eventually, Reine discovers the truth of what happened to her mother and it gives her purpose that sets her soul aflame. By the end of this novel, Reine is preparing to enter the next stage of her training. By the ripe age of twelve she has experienced more than most. Facing challenges that no child should have to face and making decisions as an adult in her culture. Will Reine be great? Will she be accepted by her peers?Will her father finally show her the love and respect she wants so badly?Will she get vengeance on the Federation?
