There is a perspective that we are born whole, and in my experience the biggest wound of all is believing that somewhere along the way we could be irreparably damaged by life. Without feeling a sense of belonging to something greater, we carry the weight of that belief with us wherever we go. This is a book about reconnecting with our true nature - which has always been whole - with the guidance of earth's nature. It documents a journey, not always linear, from disconnection, to reconnection, to belonging to life and moving through it with a greater sense of ease and a wider sense of self. The illustrations are inspired by sacred geometry, including the Platonic solids, which Plato associated with the five elements. The poems are inspired by the local landscape of Bahrain and the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experience of being human.
