I didn't love this text, but there is a lot of good information in it. Much like any other text, you have to pick and choose which methods work for you and your students. I thought the section on selecting groups was a good baseline, but not realistic for the group of students I work with.

If you know brief counseling, this book lends itself to using those skills in a group setting. Presents potential pitfalls and their solutions as well as input from experienced school counselors.
