Ground Instruction Logbook

This GROUND INSTRUCTION LOGBOOK was created to satisfy the requirement for 14 CFR 61.51(b)(2)(iv) which states that a person must log "ground training received from an authorized instructor." A large space is provided to record TOPIC, SYLLABUS, and RESOURCES information. There are also spaces to document (or check) the TYPE OF GROUND TRAINING (either received or by self-study), such as CFI/CGI LECTURE; BOOK STUDY; VID/AUD COURSE; CBT/CAL STUDY; and FTD/SIM DEMO. There is also a column for totaling the time. The front of this logbook contains a page for the airman's name, address and certificates held; and pages with endorsements for aeronautical knowledge exams and other pertinent endorsements that can be made by a certificated ground instructor (CGI). The end of this logbook contains the regulations about ground instructor privileges and limitations.
