Stop and Listen To God's Voice

Do you need some help in your prayer life? Do you have questions on how to pray? GRIP THE ROPE: PRAYERS FOR SINGLE MOTHERS provides you with a starting place. Curtis uses the alphabet to address concerns of single moms. Each letter represents an issue, supplemented with a bible verse and an extended prayer. The book is completed with a list of recommended readings and a place for you to take notes. Even though these prayers focus on single mothers, others can recharge, recover, and release life by mediating on thoughts presented in this book. It is clear that God was orchestrating the words Curtis was writing, as these prayers are strong and healing in nature. I recommend this book to all women. Ms. Curtis thanks for following God's will and listening to His voice. This book will definitely help lead hundreds to redemption and peace. Deltareviewer Reviewing for Real Page Turners

Knowing You're Not Alone

What a special volume of prayers for any mother, but most particularly, as the title indicates, the single mother. Who better to take her very real emotions and concerns to about such pressing and unrelenting issues of loneliness, finances, patience, stress and such than the Lord? These are just some of the moving and beautiful prayers Ms. Curtis offers in this priceless jewel. It is an assurance that the single mother is not alone in her struggle, that someone understands, and better yet, that there really is someone to take her problems, hopes and dreams to. Grip the Rope: Prayers for Single Mothers is a classic that you need to own, and I humbly suggest you definitely need to give to anyone you know (single father's as well) who is raising children alone.

Prayer changes things

Like water to a man dying of thirst, so is GRIP THE ROPE: PRAYERS FOR SINGLE MOTHERS to the single mother. Carla J. Curtis has put together a treasure trove of prayers aimed at assisting single mothers in an often times one-sided battle to raise their children. She literally reached within her own life and her relationship with God to pull together prayers for the single mom to cover concerns they face from A - Z. Each prayer is led by a verse from the Bible showing God's word on the subject. She left no stone unturned and covered things like burnout, enthusiasm, loneliness, oppression, and time management, to name a few. From a scant eighty pages, I found a tool to assist with me the emotions and issues that abound in my life on this journey as a single parent. Ms. Curtis also reminds us that prayer is a handy and readily available weapon to fight off the attacks of Satan. What is so unique about this book is that just reading the prayers added a great source of encouragement to me. They are some simple yet awesome prayers that can benefit all people, not just single mothers. Curtis is to be commended for a very timely and handy reference tool.Reviewed by Brenda M. Grip the Rope Review

Although I am not a single mom, I have found this book to be very inspirational as well as helpful. Sometimes when you just don't know how to pray about certain situations, this book and these prayers have just the words. Easy to understand for even the youngest moms.

A Saving Grace!

From the first prayer to the last, Grip the Rope is a saving grace for not just single mothers or parents, but everyone. In a world where there seems to not be enough hours in the day; and meetings, deadlines and ringing telephones become our priority, Carla Curtis definitely lays the groundwork for a disciplined prayer life that puts the focus back on God. With simple, spirit-inspired prayers that run the gamut from anxiety and faith to goals and time-management, she reassures us that with prayer and a willing heart, we can and will survive, if we don't let go of God. This is a highly recommended book that should grace the shelves of every home library.
