In 1775 Philadelphia, young Joseph Grimm decides to leave behind his comfortable life, and secure future as a merchant, to join the cause of rebellion.

At the urging of his friend and mentor, the boisterous Dutch merchant Stefan Klaers, Grimm enlists in the newly formed Continental Marines. But before the new Marines can complete their first week of training, Grimm and a small group of fellow recruits are sent on an urgent and secret mission to stop a British officer, the brutal and desperate Major Marcus Calhoun, a man with nothing to lose.

Calhoun carries a secret with the power to cripple the rebellion. As Joseph and the inexperienced comrades race against time, they must learn their trade as Marines while confronting the realities of war and death.
Only time will tell if their mission to save the rebellion will succeed.
