For a child who may be facing a scary medical situation

Written and illustrated by Jennifer E. Sheehan for children ages 4-9, this outstanding color picturebook was specifically designed for a young child who was about to undergo an operation. Using the Bumple animals, Jennifer Sheehan has composed an engaging and entertaining story to show how everyone uses teamwork to make Griffy Giraffe better. The book's art style resembles the crayon drawings of young people themselves, but the true empathy of Griffy Giraffe's Accident is its subject matter and purpose - to bring comfort to a child who may be facing a scary medical situation. Highly recommended.

Great Book to Read as Your First Chapter Book

This is a charming, engaging story for a young reader who is just starting to read "chapter books." The characters are lovable and warm. The message is one of cooperation and friendship. My 7 year old daughter picked this book up and never put it down until she was finished. Since she is a very picky reader - I was delighted to have "scored" with this book. We look forward to further adventures in Bumpleville.
