The green tree python (Morelia viridis) is one of the most interesting and vivid snakes appreciated by herpetoculturists. Frequently alluded to by specialists and raisers as the "chondro," in view of the snake's unique family of Chondropython, this little to medium-sized arboreal species is indigenous to New Guinea and a portion of the encompassing islands, just as the Cape York Peninsula of northern Australia. This slim snake regularly seems littler than it really is, because of its propensity for roosting on a branch in a smaller, internal circled act. Grown-ups normal 4 to 5 feet long, yet can surpass 6 feet. Exceptionally nighttime, green tree pythons only occasionally move during light hours, and joined with its excellent hues, this makes this python a less-compromising snake to experience for individuals who are not used to hostage snakes.
