Ecological sustainability is on everyone's lips. Nevertheless, sustainability has long received little attention in economic life and subsequently also in the legal context. The content of the thesis is an analysis of how open the Austrian legal system is to this topic in relation to the construction and letting of buildings. On the basis of this analysis, the work is also intended to show possible solutions as to how ecologically sustainable construction and letting can be implemented under the Austrian legal system.
