This book arrived with Red marker on cover and inside. Can’t give as gift.

This book arrived with Red market on the cover and inside the book. Cannot give as gift. Very disappointed. Wasted money on a fixed income. Can provide a photo of book.

Disappointed all marked in, not as advertised

This is a good kids story. However I paid $4.69 for this book it was supposed to be very good condition. It was all scribbled in, also it was clearly marked $2.99. You could at least remove the price tags from the books,if you are charging more than you got them for. Very disappointed.

Misleading seller! Was not like new!

Seller said like new, it had stickers in the cover and a girl’s name written in black permanent marker on the front! Can’t use it for a gift now! Very misleading!

Classic & Great, book condition was unacceptable

This was one of my son favorite book as a toddler & child. He is having his first child and I wanted to gift him this book. I purchased the “Like New” offer and what I received was unacceptable. Pages were missing, pages torn, water marks through out the pages and the cover had dents and markings all over! Disappointed in the seller for listing it as “Like New” and sending a badly damaged book. Unacceptable.

Green eggs and ham is my daughter's favorite book

The book itself was missing several pages. I wouldn't recommend buying used books from them, I won't be again.

Not the original

The book I received was not the original Green Eggs and Ham. It had a squeaky egg on top and the story had been shortened significantly. Was very disappointing

Boringly Painful

this was the greatest book in the whole wide universe! it made me cry, and i don't cry often. I mean i'm 84 years old, and i never have anything to cry about. not to mention that i have cancer all over my body, but we won't go there. people need to read this book. i gave it to my grandkids, and they threw it at me and called me eggs. so, people need to read this adorable sad book!

Hilarious

It's a truly funny book. If you like Latin and want something to lighten the day try some green eggs and ham. They're delicious! My son, 3, likes this book a lot. The colorful pictures are attractive and the repetitive nature of the verses not only helps to learn and remember, but is also appealing to children. For a similar approach see Puer Zingiberi Panis: et Fabulae Alterae (Latin Edition) which is not really funny but quite charming and attractive for children.

Learning fun

This classic childrens book is a first rate way for a beginning latin student to practice reading skills.

¡Me gusta mucho este libro!

After I had read this book to my nieces and nephews, my nine-year-old nephew picked up "Corre, perro, corre" by P.D. Eastman and read it all the way through in English, including "me gusta," which he had not heard prior to hearing this book. Reading is a great language teacher!I asked the kids why the main character's name is Juan Ramón instead of Sam, and my nephew said immediately, "Well, it has to rhyme with jamón, of course."I had purchased this book for my students, but it was obvious I was going to have to get another for my nieces and nephews! At least I have no problem knowing what to get them for birthdays and Christmas gifts! (They certainly don't need any more toys!)

NOT ENOUGH STARS FOR THIS ONE!

This book has been around for such a very long time and it is still going strong. I can remember reading this book to my eldest daughter when she was three or four years old, and the book was read to her so many times that she could eventually repeat back every word to me. My daughter is now 36 years old and her daughter is 12. Both can still recite all the words without the book. Over the years, the catchy words will forever remain with you.Aside from the simple words, the book portrays a very important message - do not be afraid to try new things. As a parent and counsellor, I can attest to the fact that message can be one of life's greatest learning experiences not only for children but for adults as well. We never know what we can accomplish or what we can achieve until we try. In addition, some things are not always what they seem. If you have never read a Dr. Seuss book, you have no idea of what you or your children are missing. Of all the Seuss books, this is an all-time favourite.

The translation couldn't be better...

The translators have done a WONDERFUL job with this book. Obviously Spanish does not have the same rhythm as English so I know they had quite a task before them, but they met the challenge. I'm so glad I'll have one of my favorite childhood books in my husband's native language to share with our future children. I'm sure our kids will have even more fun since my husband's name is Juan Ramón! I've already used it several times in Spanish classes that I've taught--to children and college students. Another challenge met by one of the translators: ¡Oh, cuán lejos llegarás! (Oh, the places you'll go!)

Many memories will be shared over a good book, starting with the time-honored tradition of the bed-time story. Who here remembers begging their parents to read just one more book? "I promise I will go right to bed after the next one;" "I'm not tired yet;" "But I really like both of the books. I don't want to choose." Do any of these sound familiar?
