This paper presents a pedagogical intervention strategy using experimental lessons from a multisensory perspective for first-year secondary school students in the subject of chemistry, specifically in relation to chemical phenomena. Low-cost and easily acquired materials were used to work with students on the different molecular organisations of elements, green chemistry and the best interpretation of a chemical reaction. The methodology adopted sought to use the senses during the observation of chemical phenomena, facilitating a richer assimilation and analysis of the facts, in contrast to what would usually be done. Students in all first-year classes stated that the methodology employed facilitated their understanding of the subject matter and rated the multisensory experimental class as a good learning resource. In addition to adding value to the knowledge that is worked on in green chemistry.
