Greater Than: Life's Journey Through poetry is an artistic reflective exploration of processing mentally, emotionally years of sexual abuse, domestic abuse, a series of bad relationships, and injustice. Each poem seeks to find answers, examine emotions, ideas, and perceptions of the subject being written about. I wanted to look deeper into my thoughts and feelings of what happened to me as a pre-teen and teenager. This book is specific to a time period of when I was raped and molested as a child. Then the poems fast forward to me being a young adult and my early relationships. Then about the beginning of learning how to love, heal, and understand myself.The topics include shame, guilt, hate, suicide, fear, abandonment, love, faith, and self-love were once topics I previously avoided sharing with others or out loud. Now I boldly say, "It happened to me, and I survived." This is not an easy read, but it's a necessary one. Lastly, I hope you hear a clear tone of renewed faith, hope, joy, healing, and a clearer perspective of love.
