A RULE AND GUIDE FOR BIBLE STUDY

I friend of mine informed me about the book. I purchased it and as a result, I have joined a Bible Study group in order to get a better understanding of the Bible.

Knowing the Basics

This study will literally put you on the same page as a majority in the evangelical community. Only too often we think we know what the terms used in biblical truths mean. It is only when we examine the scriptures associated with the terms are we able to properly connect with other Christians using the same terms. The use of this bible study is timeless and is well worth the investment in time and its cost.

Basically sound, but ponderous, lay study guide

The Introduction For Students and Teachers suggests this 322-page, 52-chapter doctrinal guide should be completed in one year, but accomplishing this feat would require the teacher and student to approach the topical outlines in only the most superficial way.The author reasons mostly from a standard Evangelical Baptist doctrinal perspective, with some unexpected interjections of personal conviction and preference. The "fill in the blank" format does not lend itself very well to promoting class or group discussion.This is a basic, standard doctrinal study best suited for individuals and groups who want to be told what standard Evangelical/Baptist beliefs are. If you want an inductive study in this regard, or to grapple with the personal or societal implications of these beliefs, look elsewhere.

This book is an excelent book in studying and learning the principles of the bible. It has 52 lessons to work through and gives both the room to make notes and coments. Also this book will give you the verses and the ability incorporate the bible into your daily life.
