Here is a collection of famous television and radio commercial jingles, including: Aqua Velva Man * Ask Any Mermaid * Buster Brown Shoes * Double Your Pleasure * I Wish I Were an Oscar Mayer Wiener *... This description may be from another edition of this product.
These are great! I wish there were a second volume as there are oodles more great musical commercials. Even better, there should be a compact disc of these pieces. This is Real Americana. Great stuff. Barber Shop Quartets are swell on most of these. I'm putting together a bunch for an organ concert. Should be great for classrooms, too. Singing history. Apparently the oldest one is the song about "Wheaties" (They're whole wheat with all of the bran!) One of my personal favorites I still hum at the grocery store is the Wonder Bread Song - not included in this volume ("Yo-ho, Yo-ho, Yo-ho, Yo-ho - We are the bakers who bake the dough; We're here with tunes that you should know, Hurrah! for the Wonder Bakers! Yo-ho, Yo-ho, Yo-ho!" (allegro vivace)
Stroll down memory lane with jingles

I picked this book up from the library and enjoyed it so much I had to run out and purchase a copy of my own. If you love jingles as much as I do you will enjoy this book. Some of the jingles include Gerber, Oscar Myer, Bosco, Chicklets, Aunt Jamima, Tootsie Roll and many more. The music in this book is fairly easy to read and play!
