At such a young age, grief can feel confusing and heavy, even when children cannot fully express it. As parents, we search for words that could bring comfort-words rooted not only in love, but in the unchanging truth of God's promises.

Through our faith, we are reminded that death is not the end, and that God holds our loved ones-and our children-securely in His care. Scripture tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). This truth became the foundation of the conversations I had with my daughter, guiding her to understand loss through hope rather than fear.

This story was written to encourage parents to lean into their faith as they help their children navigate grief. Pray with your child. Speak openly about heaven. Remind them that God is always near, even when someone they love is no longer here on earth. When children learn that God's love never leaves them, grief becomes something they do not face alone.

My prayer is that this book serves as a gentle tool for families-offering comfort, opening hearts, and pointing children back to the everlasting love of God. May it reassure little ones that those we love are safe with Him, and that His peace surrounds us now and always.
