The book is excellent for an adult Bible Study group because it is engaging, leads to further study, and provides new information not generally known.

I have been in Bible study groups and with this book I see how much I missed. The people in my group come alive like never before.

very educational

This workbook is very useful. My sunday school class is using it for curriculum. We have learned tremendous amounts of knowledge and we are only halfway through it. Did you know that Abraham tithed to King Melchidek before it was a law? How many wives did Solomon have? Who held the staff of God for Moses? All these questions and more can be answered by using this workbook. As you study each character, ask yourself a question: How does this lesson apply to my life?

Great Characters of the Bible

I have used this study guide many times and in many places over the past 15 years. It always evokes deeper study and discussion in group settings. A great way to get into scripture in unique ways. I highly recommend it. Each character calls for deeper study and understanding, but the book/study guide will set that into motion.

Best for personal and group Bible study

This is one of the best investments I made in a book. I own this book for at least 6 years, and still use it for the good notes I took and the good discussion. This book is great for personal or group Bible study. The studies are informative, not deep theological details but not simplistic; just the right piece of steak! It dose not replace studying the characters from the Bible but organizes the study and gives many helpful insights and draws parallels of Christ when appropriate; such as with studying lesson 9 "Joseph". You will not regret buying this book.
