This was an excellent mystery with well developed characters, especially the protagonist, Kyle Shannon. I can't wait to read about Kyle's next adventure! Linda Mickey did a great job drawing the reader into the scenes. As a person who is in the staffing industry, the author painted a very real picture of the life of a temporary and the interesting things they face on a daily basis. Great read, looking forward to the next one!

Interesting characters with everyday believability. The text is clever and natural, not forced. It's a memorable book.
A Great Little Mystery!

Linda Mickey writes a tight light mystery, with 5 Star dialogue and great characters. This is as good as any mystery I've read, with just as strong writing as Sue Grafton or even Agatha Christie. Yes, this a solid story, with the perfect mix of humor, local color, mystery and developed plotline. Highly recommend! Kathy Lenthart

This is a story with great and interesting characters I hope to meet again. The mystery itself is something anyone in the business world might actually run into. The characters do things we all do in real life, such as fall in love with some special cennamon rolls. This makes it all real instead of fiction to the reader. Bob I.
Greased Wheels Just Keeps on Turning

An auspicious beginning for a new author. I'm usually a fan of more slam-bang stuff (Lee Child, John Sandford, Robert Crais) but I read Greased Wheels in one sitting. The characters are real, the pace is energetic and the plot is just darned interesting. Who woulda thought a temp worker could be a fascinating protagonist? Kyle Shannon is as intrepid as Miss Marple and as likeable as Jessica Fletcher. As a sometime fire buff, I was impressed by Linda Mickey's firefighting knowledge. And those cinnamon rolls! I couldn't get the smell out of my nose for days. . .
