Our story opens with the Kings, a rugged family with eight children growing up in a junkyard with bumpy beginnings. They are introduced to an uncle they never knew, a long-lost family member from the past. George King, the father, and the junkyard man, has opened up a second chance for his newly discovered brother, Dagwood Dooley, who had been early on left at an orphanage. His sorrowful memories cannot be erased. A second betrayal in life has left Woody with an issue of trust. Outwardly, he is cheerful and full of confidence and contentment, but inside he is burdened with disturbing questions. How could his young wife Sandy, the one woman he had loved trusted, leave him as though he didn't exist without even a 'goodbye'?
