I've always loved the kind of poetry that makes you stop for a second because it feels like someone has reached inside your head and written down something you've never been able to say. That's what I wanted to create with this book.

'Graveflowers' is my take on modern poetry, the kind that has become so popular online, where a poem can just be a few lines long and still manage to ruin your whole evening in the best possible way. These aren't the kind of poems you need to sit down and study. They're poems you can read at midnight when you can't sleep, take a photo of when one hits a little too close to home, send to someone because you don't know how else to say it, or come back to years later and realise you've become a completely different person since you first read it.

A lot of these poems began online and watching them find their way to hundreds of thousands of people has been possibly the strangest and most rewarding part of writing them.
I never expected something that started as a few words on a screen to make so many people feel understood.

I wrote this book for anyone who has ever felt too much, lost too much, loved too hard, or just wondered if anyone else was feeling the same thing. You don't need to be a poetry person to read 'Graveflowers.'
You just need a heart that has been through a lot and still keeps going.
