A second protagonist, touring a jazz troubadour called Blues Cat, is caught in a Sisyphean web of one-night stands, perpetually on the road from one devastated city to another, trailed by obsessed ex-lovers, enraged husbands, and The Muffin Man, the soulless agent of billionaire Big Bill Clyde vengeance. Mysterious clients Brimstone and The Big G hire Hank to find and kill seven bad actors named after the seven deadly sins, but upon finishing the job, Hank becomes entangled in a missing husband case. This one takes Hank and assistant Alias through an underworld of sex workers, fetishists, hotel keepers and embezzlers. Hank must track a pair of cross-dressing redheads across the country seeking the husband's embezzled $500,000, plus his stolen heart, for a bizarre and violent denouement.
