a beautiful and important work!

i am so happy that this book is available. the beautiful use of language, and storytelling took me on a delightful/lyrical journey. i wish this book had been around when my daughter was a little girl because this is a book we would have enjoyed over and over. i have had the honor of hearing the author read the book at a signing-wow/it was a musical experience that i've been looking to have again. i think the publishers should make this book available on tape with the author reading the story!
