A charming and much under appreciated book about family values

This is a delightful little story about Neeta and her little brother Sanjay who's two grandfathers live on opposite sides of the world. Their father's Dad Grandpa Leicester isn't much fun and Mum's dad Grandpa Chatterji, lives far away in India and the children have yet to meet him but if Grandpa Leicester is anything to go by, they're not all that keen on meeting him. However Grandpa Chatterji eventually comes all the way from India to visit them, and the two children discover that their Indian Grandpa is very different from their English based Grandfather and that he is full of fun, magic and mischief and even manages to raise a smile or two from Grandpa Leicester who is not known for his sense of humour. Sadly this book is not what you would call a popular read with most children who are drawn like moths to flame to badly written rubbish like formulaic Harry Potter and its MANY sequels. Grandpa Chatterji was also made into a TV film but is very hard to get hold of, a real shame as both book and film are great. I'd buy this book for my little nieces any day over trash like the Potter saga, sorry Potter fans but there is only so much Hogwarts that a woman can take before she rebels big time and starts looking for reading material that has merit and worth in it rather than a lot of flipping HOGWASH! Mums, Dads, please, do yourself a favour, buy books like this when you are out and about in a bookshop, they are a lot BETTER for your kids and they don't rot the brain, look at books like this one as healthy but nice tasting sugar free candy and Harry Potter as the type of candy with more E's in it than you can shake a stick at as well making ALL your teeth fall out of your head just by looking at the cover much less reading it!!!!!
