South Lima, New York, is a hamlet more often found by mistake than on purpose. If one looks at a map of New York State's Finger Lakes, they will discover South Lima nestled upon the left shoulder of Conesus Lake. It was on one South Lima Christmas Eve, not too many years ago, that a lonely, angry young man, was visited by an elderly, soft-spoken stranger, who, shared the most incredible of stories. As the evening progressed the stranger revealed, "I was with Him on His first day. I was with Him when people walked for days to hear His Sermon on the Mount. And I was with Him when the stone was rolled aside on that first Easter morning. As I was with Him, I have also been with you. I was with you on your first Easter morning. I was with you when you were a boy beneath those snow-covered pines. I was with you during those long walks along deceased Lackawanna rails, and I was with you on that sweet-smelling early summer morning when you met a young woman picking small purple wildflowers."
