The joyous holiday of Purim celebrates the salvation of the Jews from a wicked anti-Semitic prime minister named Haman, who plotted to annihilate the Jewish people in one day. Through the leadership and bravery of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai, his plot was thwarted and the Jewish people were delivered and spared.
